Speed to market
With manufacturing of the modules occurring simultaneously with foundational site work, Horizon North customers are seeing projects completed up to 50 per cent faster than conventional construction with uncompromised quality. The result – customers are in the door and developers and owners are generating a return on their investment more quickly. Off-site manufacturing also leads to cost certainty on projects as causes of delays in traditional construction (weather, material theft, trades shortages) are minimized or reduced completely.
Modular is an inherently ‘greener’, more sustainable approach than conventional construction. Waste in the manufacturing facility is reduced to 2-3 per cent from up to 30 per cent in traditional construction. With much of the building completed off-site, the on-site footprint is also smaller, making modular a better neighbour with less noise, traffic and reduced time and activity on site.
