Mount Logan Lodge was a design build workforce accommodation and amenities facility to lodge up to 1,243 people.
This project was for the supply and installation of 12 dormitory modules. The Mount Logan Lodge Dorms are comprised of 12 independent wings with five different layouts, all configured in an “L” formation, connecting to a central Core building.
The modules for the Mount Logan Lodge were designed by Horizon North’s in-house design department and manufactured at Horizon North’s manufacturing facility in Kamloops, British Columbia. Wherever possible, rooms were completely finished during manufacturing, including loading of furniture, to minimize onsite construction impacts. Horizon North Transportation and Logistics transported over 20 modules per week to site.
The onsite construction was executed by Horizon North’s installation group, supported by specialty preferred subcontractors. The executed scope included placing the buildings on a pile foundation using a crane, finishing exterior and interior architectural features, service interconnects (electrical, plumbing and mechanical), testing and commissioning the buildings for occupancy and turnover.
