The complete turn-key Coast Oliver Hotel project was awarded to Horizon North in September 2017. Following ground breaking in November 2017, Horizon North set to work designing, manufacturing, transporting, setting and installing a total of 61 modules for the project, which aimed for a quick-to-market timeline to opening.
The required modules were built at Horizon North’s temperature controlled manufacturing facility in Kamloops, British Columbia, while the site foundation was constructed simultaneously on the hotel’s site in Oliver, British Columbia. Craning of the modules onto the foundation occurred in late March 2018, after which the completion team took over the final phase of the project, fully integrating each module over a period of three months. The
hotel opened to its first customers in mid-July 2018.
The 61 modules make up the four-storey, 43,000 sq ft finished structure located just east of busy Highway 97, which intersects Oliver as it winds its way through the Okanagan. The 83-room hotel also features an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, a breakfast-service kitchen and eating area, a modular vaulted grand entrance and a modular elevator.Download Project Sheet
