Job Description The Chef is responsible to ensure kitchen co-ordination, paperwork and food inventory is accurate and neat.
Responsibilities
  • To incorporate into meal planning and preparation any requests to comply with special dietary constraints
  • Ensure menu planning and costs are controlled and groceries are utilized effectively
  • Quantity and quality control based on a weekly menu plan
  • Ensure work areas, equipment and kitchen is cleaned on a regular basis
  • Stock/inventory/assist with loading unloading of groceries and supplies
  • Food and health safety regulations
  • Prepare menu plan
  • Accurately maintain paperwork and inventory levels
  • Staff rotations and replacement, in consultation with Personnel
  • Attendance at Workplace Health and Safety committee meetings, and lead in the absence of a Camp Manager
  • Supervise staff and provide appropriate feedback regarding performance
Qualifications
  • Management training and formal culinary training
  • Food Safety, Food Preparation, First Aid, WHMIS, computer training
