Job Description Responsible to build components for Satellite systems and install systems on site at various camp locations.  This position is based in Grande Prairie, reporting to the Service Manager with a dotted line to the Site Services Manager.
Responsibilities • Build headend systems (make coaxial cables, assemble racks, and make appropriate component connections)
• Install headend systems, satellite and television systems on site
• Connect satellite, connect headend, run cable, split signals and connect coaxial connections out in the camp setting
• Mount televisions, check signal strength, troubleshoot and fix signal issues
• Troubleshoot, hit and authorize satellite receivers
• Talk to suppliers and order all parts required to build headend systems
• Maintaining internal record-keeping systems, including recording information in a spreadsheet (receiver locations, tag numbers, date in and out, etc. and report that information to the appropriate personnel
• Other day-to-day duties as required
Qualifications

• A minimum High School Diploma with some vocational training
• 3-5 years relevant experience is an asset
• Must have the ability to work away from home for extended periods of time and be flexible with regards to work location
• Proficiency in computer systems and software such as Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, detail oriented and problem solving skills
• Physically fit and be able to lift, work under trailers, off ladders and in confined spaces with hard to reach spots
• Valid driver’s license and recent drivers abstract
