Building Strong Relationships
Horizon North recognizes the importance of building strong relationships with Aboriginal communities. We look to involve Aboriginal communities in business partnerships that will provide economic and employment benefits. One of our primary objectives is to maximize the amount of local and Aboriginal community participation in our operations.
Horizon North continues to meet with members of Aboriginal and local communities in our operating areas to encourage discussion and information exchange on potential local impact and opportunities.
We seek strategic partnerships that will allow us to create lasting economic value in order to participate in designing a better quality of life for Aboriginal communities, families, and individuals.
If you would like more information about our Aboriginal involvement, Joint Ventures and Partnerships please contact Horizon North at 1-866-305-6565 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business
Progressive Aboriginal Relations
In acknowledgement of our engagement initiatives within Aboriginal communities, the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) has recognized Horizon North as a Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) committed company.
The CCAB is a national, member-based organization that has been bridging the gap between the mainstream corporate sector and the Aboriginal community. CCAB works to improve economic self-reliance of Aboriginal communities while assisting corporate businesses. Today’s growing success of the Aboriginal economy indicates that our country is steadily progressing towards recovering equitable and sustainable business relationships between Aboriginal Peoples for the betterment of all Canadians.
As a PAR committed company, Horizon North tracks and manages its Aboriginal Relation strategies, submitting an annual report to the CCAB that documents a year’s worth of activities with an external verification of performance.
