Vice President Human Resources
As Vice President Human Resources, Marci is responsible for leading the development of Horizon North’s human resource strategies (including talent acquisition, labour relations, employee development, and total rewards), operationalizing the overall business strategy, and developing and maintaining a best in class company culture. Marci began her career with a focus on recruitment, and employee learning and development. Her interest in employee development, combined with her natural inclination toward mediation and advocacy, led to a purposeful transition to a long term career in human resources. Marci is a long time employee of Horizon North, beginning in the company’s early days in 2006 and progressing from a Manager position in HR to Director, and now VP. She has a Bachelor of Arts (English and Creative Writing) degree from Vancouver Island University, and is currently pursuing both a certificate in Human Resources Management through the University of Calgary’s Continuing Education program, and training in organizational design and change management.
